Carol Zarska, MAR
Dr. Christa Negley
Carol Zarska felt called to serve God in a special way at the age of 10. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Columbia Union College in 1960 and practiced 25 years as a Registered Nurse (RN). Carol felt called to teach and started preaching for American Christian Ministries in 1984 where she introduced the subject of experiential sanctuary, now called Sanctuary Prayer. She then went on to receive a Master of Art in Religion from Lancaster Theological Seminary in 1985. For over 40 years Carol has felt called by the Lord to help prepare individuals to meet God and receive His love and healing in a greater way. Through her ministry, Carol has had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and abroad and share with others the message of the Sanctuary as it relates to prayer, the truth about end-time events, and the unique importance of our Adventist heritage. Carol works a family counselor in West Virginia. In addition to her numerous articles, sermons and tapes, Carol has written 3 books that address these important and relevant topics to demonstrate how to prepare to meet our God!
Christa Negley, PhD developed a love for evangelism as a very small child in East Germany. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Branson Hospital School of Nursing in Toronto, Ontario Canada in 1972, and has worked as a registered nurse (RN) in various fields in nursing and marketing for the last forty years. . Believing that Jesus is coming soon, Christa began to understand that Jesus was taking her through experiences that led her to a deeper connection to Him. As a result, she felt led to pursue a PhD. She graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy and Christian Counseling from the Christian Bible College and Seminary in 2017. She is dedicated to counseling to help others identify areas that stand in the way of a closer relationship with God, Dr. Christa has completed writing the “Sealing Truths Study Guides” which are especially designed to prepare God’s people for His soon coming.
Dr. Jean Marie Smith
Dr. Jean Marie Smith recently completed her doctorate degree to become a naturopath to serve in full time ministry. She gave her heart to the Lord as a young woman after studying the Bible with a coworker, and was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing . After working several years full-time in hospital nursing, she began working as a health educator, teaching classes and seminars in many locations in the Unites States and overseas, while continuing to work part-time in clinical settings. She has over twenty years’ experience in presenting health seminars and in health counseling. Jean Marie also has taught individual and group Bible studies, and has presented sermons on physical, emotional and spiritual wholeness in Christ. She is certified as a Biblical Life Coach, a Health and Wellness Coach, and a Master Coach. The Lord has also gifted her with writing Christian poetry.
Denetra Gary, LCSW
Denetra Gary gave her heart to the Lord as a child. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) has seven years experience in the field of social work. Denetra’s therapeutic focus and mission are to restore the entire family unit. Her goal in initiating this change is to start with women. She is skilled in helping women who struggle with anxiety, depression, chronic disorganization, and dysfunction. She believes that when the woman is complete and whole in Christ she is a powerful influence in recreating the family unit back to God’s original plan. Denetra is personally devoted, and deeply committed to helping individuals overcome and identify deep emotional roots that leads to sin. David Smith, BA
David Smith was baptized at the age of 30 years old, committing his life to Christ after Bible study and much prayer. At the time he was a full-time electrician, but felt the call of the Lord to ministry, and so trained to become a bible worker in 1986. He later received a Bachelor in Theology from Atlantic Union College in 1994. He spent three years working as a lay pastor and has several years experience as an elder at various Adventist churches. David is a strong leader and owned a profitable electrical company for twelve years. He now works as an electrician yet he also preaches, leads Bible studies, and gives worship talks. He is uniquely knowledgeable in understanding, teaching and articulating Christ’s ministry and the full gospel it relates to the sanctuary and interweaves personal anecdotes into his messages to guide the listener and help them understand this message as it relates to our lives today. He is an elder in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a member of the ministry team of Sanctuary Alive and a board member of Christianity, Inc. David recently joined the Mountain Refuge Ministry as a speaker and presenter on his favorite topic –The Heavenly Sanctuary to help prepare a people to meet the Lord.
Karen Styer, BA
Although Karen Styer gave her heart to the Lord as a young child, she reconnected with the Lord strongly at the age of 21. This connection deepened her desire for evangelism, and in 2003 she attended the Mission College of Evangelism to become a bible worker. From then on she’s continued soul winning for Christ. She furthered her education by later pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education, with a certification in Special Education from Washington Adventist University in 2011. She is a family and children’s counselor and taught as an early childhood educator for twelve years. Karen specializes in teaching parents positive reinforcement techniques designed to change behaviors. She is also the author of "The Sanctuary Experience" to give you a sanctuary model of prayer to connect you with God in a deeper way.
Meg Smyth, Lpn
Meg Smyth grew up in a very loving Christian home. When she was 18 years old she read the book, "Story of Redemption" and other writings of Ellen White. After prayer and bible study she was converted to the Seventh Day Adventist message . She is a nurse and MRM's website designer and contributor. She felt called to further her education and is currently completing her Bachelors of Arts in Religion. She is a SDA church elder and often preaches and teaches the nearness of Christ's coming and how to cleanse the heart and mind with the knowledge of Christ's present work in the Heavenly Sanctuary. She believes that knowing the character of God greatly assists God's people in going through the "judgment of the living " experience. She whole heartedly believes and teaches the truth that "Love is the agent, which He (Christ) uses to expel sin from the heart. " MB 77
Kathryn Styer, Bible Worker
Kathryn is MRM's writer of the monthly newsletter and has the gift of evangelism. She is a thankful wife and mommy of 3 girls . "Like Jesus, they get to see my real self, yet continue to love me unconditionally. I believe in a simple lifestyle to maximize the time I can spend connecting with my family and other people that God puts in my path. God has put the desire in my heart to share the truths that have saved myself and my family. I'm excited about Jesus and the work He is doing for us as our priest in the in the Heavenly Sanctuary. I love to teach people about that healing work through writing, group seminars and one on one. I long to do a better and better job of that as he works on my heart. I believe Jesus is coming super soon and I want to take everyone there with me! I believe Jesus has called me to preach , teach and give presentations on the Sanctuary and how you can grow closer to God through studying and applying the many practical and amazing principles."
