The Latter Rain

Dearest Ones,

I am very pleased with the way you handled the subject of the Holy Spirit last night [in the Friday night meeting]. This is a difficult subject at best, for no one has ever seen or heard the Holy Spirit visibly or audibly as you would a normal person, yet He is as verily a person as are my Father and I. However, the complete understanding of the Holy Spirit cannot be understood by created beings because He is a divine and eternal member of the Godhead. However, I want you to continue to study prayerfully and carefully all that I reveal to you about Him, because I am preparing to pour out the latter rain in abundance such as has never before been seen upon the earth. Also, I want you to become more acquainted with Him than mankind has ever known, because the cleansing of your characters from all sin will permit your mind to be more acutely aware of His movings upon your heart. You see, sin abrogates the perception of the mind and

heart to perceive the gentle movings of the Spirit. He is gentle because He will never force or overpower the will of anyone. He wants you to listen carefully with all your heart to perceive His wisdom and guidance, and the more you do this the more your mind will become sensitive to His slightest whisper. You are not aware of the movings of your internal organs, yet He is the author and protector of them all, and the invisible power that produces life and health in your body. If you abuse your body you are abusing the Spirit, because He loves you and wants to give you healing and abundant life. But I do not want you to worry about this, but instead to become more aware of your responsibility to cooperate with the Spirit in order to keep your body healthy, for it is the abiding place of the Spirit.

Another thing that I want you to become keenly aware of is that the amount of Holy Spirit that you receive in the latter rain will be proportionate to your surrender to, and cooperation with, the cleansing of your mind from all sin, which is, as you know, disagreement with God. Just as love cannot flow freely between two people who are in disagreement, so sin blocks the freedom of the Holy Spirit to communicate with you; and since love is the first and most important aspect of the Holy Spirit, sin blocks the amount of love you will feel for my Father and I. If you do not feel our love, it is not because we do not love you, for our love is eternal. But the presence of sin darkens your ability to perceive our love and respond to it. By that I do not mean to say that we love the wicked who will be destroyed in the fires of hell at the end of time. The wicked have completely cut themselves off from any perception of, or avenue for, our love, and there is nothing left in them to connect with our love. They have chosen Satan as their God and must suffer extinction from the universe along with him.

Now my beloved ones, I want you to know how important you are to the finishing of the plan of salvation. There must be a finished product to my sacrifice for the human race, and time has been extended to give each person ample understanding of what I am doing in the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary, and to cooperate with me until I can produce in you holy characters which fully represent me and have come to perfection, which simply means perfect agreement with me down to the smallest detail of your lives. This is not as difficult as people tend to see it, but in simple terms, it means a relationship with me that allows the full indwelling of the Holy Spirit to influence every thought and direct every action. This is how I lived a perfect life on earth, and this is how my chosen ones will live a perfect life at the end of time.

All who have gone before you have chosen me as far as they knew. But I am pouring out the full light and understanding for the final generation that reveals my character in every aspect, and thus will make possible the finished work of salvation. You are ready to do this work for me now if you will but surrender completely in every aspect of your lives, and as you live up to the light you know, I will reveal more to you which will equip you to receive the full light of the latter rain of my Holy Spirit. Then you will be completely clothed in my righteousness, and fitted for a place beside me on my throne. Don't you want this marvelous privilege, my beloved ones? It can be yours now as you move forward with the light you have toward the full light and power of the latter rain. Come, walk with me today, and tomorrow I will give you fruit to eat from the Tree of Life in my kingdom.
